What is PCOS?

PCOS is a hormone pattern linked with irregular periods and sometimes with acne, extra hair or difficulty conceiving. It is common. It is not diagnosed from irregular periods alone.

How it is evaluated

Cycle history comes first. Ultrasound and blood tests are added when they would confirm or exclude the diagnosis.

Treatment follows the goal

Regulating periods, skin symptoms and trying for a pregnancy are different plans. Dr. Kinjal Thakkar and Dr. Rajendra Thakkar set that with you.
